Our Purpose
I still catch myself looking where his bed used to be.
Bruno wasn’t just my dog, he was a rhythm in my day. Soft paws on tile. The way he sat, quietly watching me like he understood everything I didn’t say.
The day he crossed the rainbow bridge, the house went quiet in a way I didn’t know was possible. I tried to be “strong.” I put his things away. I told myself I’d be okay. But grief isn’t a switch, it’s a tide. Some nights it came in gentle, other nights it swallowed my whole.
What helped were words. Not clichés, not “move on”, but the kind of words that feel like a blanket: You loved me well. I’m still with you. I’m free. I’m happy. Keep living your beautiful life, carry me in the joy.
I remember thinking: If only I could hear this from him. If only I could read a letter from Bruno, something that sounds like him, that remembers our rituals, that tells me I did enough.
ForeverPaws Letters was born from that feeling.
It’s not a business that tries to “fix” grief. It’s a gentle companion that sits with you in it. Every letter is written with reverence, as if from your pet’s soul to the part of you that still reaches for them in the morning. It won’t erase the ache. But it can soften it. It can give you a ritual, a moment of peace, a way to feel close again.
If you’re here, you loved deeply. You still do.
May these letters meet you where you are and remind you: love never leaves, it just changes form.
